There was one casualty that day, it happened right in front of the grand stands.  The driver of this brand new beautiful Ferrari F355 lost control of his car while entering the front straight, the driver even had his daughter in the car when they hit the wall at least 80 MPH.  It was a sad thing (to the car), luckly everyone walked away from the wreck without a single scratch.  The session was temporary stopped, and the wreck was quickly picked up by a flat bed and carried off the track.
